Scientific Revolution- A new way about thinking about the world.
Nicolaus Copernicus- A man who belived that the sun stood in the middle of the universe and the other planets, stars, and moons revolved around the sun.
Heliocentric Theory- The theory that the sun stays in the center of the universe and everything else revolves around it.
Johannes Kelper- An assistant of Tycho Brahe who continued his studies after Brahe died.
Galileo Galilei- The man who discovered the law of the pedulum and proved that Aristotle was wrong.
Scientific Method- The logical procedure for finding and testing ideas.
Francis Bacon- An english politician and writier who has a passion for science. He felt that if scientists better understood the world then scientists could find ways to improve people's lives.
Rene Descartes- A man who had a love for science and thought the same asBacon but in a different way. He didn't rely on testing ideas. He used mathematics and logic.
Isaac Newton- The man who explained the laws of gravity. He believed that the same force that moved the plantets, moved everything on Earth.
Question 2
1. Scholars challenged the ideas of older thinkers with their own theories.
2.People starting using common sense instead of believing everything they were told.
3.Scientists would create tools that would help them make observations about the world.
4.Scholars would challenege the church beliefs which would have people questions the church's teachings.
5.New discoveries were made.
